This famous filmmaker who launched Vinod Khanna passes away

Film producer-director Shiv Kumar, who was best known for his directorial classic films, including Mitti Aur Sona, Badnaam, Badkaar, Bud Naseeb, Be Aabroo, and Sone Ki Zanjeer, passed away on October 25 (Tuesday) at Brahmakumari Global Hospital in Bombay. He was admitted to the hospital due to an age-related illness and breathed his last at the age of 83.

One of the most loved directors and producer of the film, Shiv Kumar passed away Shiv who was 83, died of an age-related illness. He breathed his last at Brahmakumari Global Hospital in Bombay due to a recent age-related illness. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, two sons and their families.

According to information, “Shiv Kumar Khurana breathed his last at Brahmakumari Global Hospital in Bombay due to a recent age-related illness. His prayer meeting will be held today, October 28 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Four Bungalows, Andheri West, Bombay.” 

Actor Vindu Dara Singh took to Twitter and penned down a note for the director who launched him in Karan. He wrote, "Wonderful soul may god give his family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss."

Shiv Kumar directed a number of films including Mitti Aur Sona, First Love Letter, Badnaam, Badkaar, Bud Naseeb, Be Aabroo, Begunah, Jaalsaaz, Sone Ki Zanjeer and Inteqam Ki Aag. He has also worked as a producer for three of his directorial ventures which include ‘Dagaba ‘Dagabaaz’, ‘Hum Tum Aur Woh’ and ‘Ang Se Ang Lagaley’. Shiv Kumar Khurana was also the first filmmaker who signed popular Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna as a hero. Vinod Khanna rose to fame after delivering a blockbuster hit 'Mera Gaon Mera Desh' wherein he essayed the role of a villain and in the same year had his first solo lead in 'Hum Tum Aur Woh'.
