At the same time, he has now also revealed how his habit of drinking had destroyed his house. Anurag's ex-wife had thrown him out of the house.
Anurag came to the limelight in 2009 with the film Dev D. Talking about his bad times, Anurag said how his flop films had made him depressed. To overcome this situation, he locked himself in the room. From here his worse times started. Anurag said- I used to drink so much, I used to overthink locking myself in the room day and night. I went into depression due to overthinking and drinking. This went on for almost one and a half years. My ex-wife was fed up with me. Aarti (Anurag's ex-wife) kicked me out of the house. My daughter Aaliyah Kashyap was only four years old at that time. It was a very difficult time. I was very depressed.
Anurag said- Five movies flopped. Got screwed on Black Friday. I was fired from the films Tere Naam and Kaante. So I started drinking and fighting all these battles. I was constantly being fired from every project that I wrote or was a part of. It was such a bad time that I was only angry. And all this anger used to come out on the industry and the system. Anurag's last film was Dobara, in which Taapsee Pannu was in the lead role.
