As soon as Sawan starts, festivals also start. Everyday due to some celebration, sweets have to be bought from the market. But if you do not want to take sweets from outside fearing coronavirus, then this dessert is for you. This dessert is called Bombay or Karachi Halwa, it is very easy to make. So let's know about the recipe.

Ingredients Required:

Corn Flour - 1 cup

Sugar - 2 cups

Cashew - half cup

Food colour 

Pistachios - 1 tbsp

Cardamom - 4-5 pieces

Ghee - 1/2 cup

How to make Karachi Halwa

1. To make Karachi Halwa, mix water thoroughly in the cornflour.

2. After this, grind finely chop cashew nuts and pistachios and cardamom seeds.

3. Now put sugar and three to four cups of water in a pan and let it heat up.

4. When the sugar dissolves completely, add cornflour. Now let the batter cook on low flame.

5. Keep stirring this mixture continuously. After 10 to 15 minutes, halwa will begin to thicken.

6. Now add ghee to the halwa and mix it well. After this, add tartar to it.

7. Then add some ghee. Stir the halwa continuously until the ghee is mixed well.

8. Now make a spoon coloured solution in a bowl and mix it in the halwa.

9. Simultaneously mix cashew and cardamom. Stir the halwa till it becomes frozen.

10. After this, turn off the flame. Grease the base with ghee in a tray.

11. Spread the halwa in a tray. Then put chopped pistachios on top of it.

Now your Karachi Halwa is ready. Cut it in your desired shape and keep it in an air-tight box. It can be stored for about fifteen days.
