Neeraj Chopra, 23, has become an overnight star as he won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The state governments are looting money on them. There has been buzz about Neeraj becoming a Bollywood biopic though he is still the same for Neeraj's friends and one of his friends is still reluctant to share a room with Neeraj.

Athlete Tejaswin Shankar said, "My first meeting with Neeraj was in 2015. I didn't know who that long-haired person was. We talked and we took each other's numbers. Our actual bonding started in 2016. The South Asian Games were going on at that time and we were among the youngest athletes there." He further said, 'Neeraj is very different. He was speaking even after winning an Olympic medal that he felt bad for the Johannesburg vector. If you are his friend, he will never speak to you. Once he told me that many people have borrowed money from him but he is careless about these things.'

Shankar said, "I was walking with him at the JSW Facility when he won a gold medal at the Junior World Championships in 2016. I was questioning him about the prize money I got after the victory and the government job, but he was not interested in my questions. I asked him what the matter was after all. Why are you not answering me?'' He further said that Neeraj then responded and said that you know that ''if I fix my block, I can easily add two more meters to my throw. When I heard Neeraj's words, I realized that wealth and fame did not matter to this person. He only wants to make himself better constantly.''
