Chandigarh: Political turmoil has increased in many states of the country for some time now, while Punjab is not taking the name of stopping the ongoing turmoil in the Congress and now CM Captain Amarinder Singh will once again meet Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi today (August 10). Amarinder Singh and Sonia Gandhi are scheduled to meet for the first time after Navjot Singh Sidhu was made the President of the Punjab Congress.

According to the same sources, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh is coming to discuss Navjot Singh Sidhu with Sonia Gandhi. Sidhu had once again hit out at his own government on Monday (August 9) and raised the issue of drug abuse in the state. Sidhu had tweeted a series of tweets and asked questions to the state government.

Navjot Singh Sidhu wrote, "In February 2018, the STF headed by ADGP Harpreet Sidhu filed a 'status report' in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, examining the statements and evidence filed by the ED. Bikramjit Singh was placed in the case of majithia and others involved in drug trafficking." In the next tweet, Sidhu said, "The High Court had asked the Punjab government to proceed as per law on the STF report. On May 23, 2018, the government filed a court opinion-cum-status report, which is still confined in a sealed envelope."
