In India every festival is incomplete when there is no delicacies or dishes to eat and holi is the festival of colors which is merely one of the favorite festivals to every Indian. To add up a taste in the carnival of colors and make it more sweet here is a recipe which will brightens up your soul on this holi. This Thandai Phirni is a twist in the traditional way of celebrating your holi.

 

Ingredient used:

  • 250 gram full cream milk
  • 1/2 cup of rice (soaked in water for at least 3 hours)
  • 2 crushed cardamoms
  • 18-20 strands of saffron soaked in 2 table spoon milk
  • 3 table spoon thandai masala powder
  • 1 cup sugar (according to your preference)
  • 2 table spoon sliced pista and almond

 

 

Procedure:

1. Firstly boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan.

2. When it starts boiling, add the green cardamom into it.

3. Meanwhile get a bowl of rice and grind them fully by adding some water into it.

4. Now add thandai powder, saffron milk, sugar and then add rice into the milk and stir it for 20 minutes until it gets thick.

5. When it will get thick turn off the burner and let it get cool properly.

6. Now pour it in the Kullads (earthen pots) and put those kullads into the fridge for 3-4 hours.

7. After 3-4 hours take it out and garnish them with the sliced pista and almonds.

8. Serve the dish as a dessert after your scrumptious meal and enjoy the deliciously at its fullest.
