Mammotty graduated from Maharajas College in the 1972 class before enrolled at Government Law College, Ernakulam, to pursue an LLB degree.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is looking forward to the premiere of his upcoming film Puzhu. Ratheena will be directing the forthcoming Mollywood film. Puzhu is Mammootty's first professional collaboration with his son, popular actor Dulquer Salmaan, and is billed as a social thriller. Other projects in development for the actor include Lijo Jose Pellissery's Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam and Hridyam. On January 21st of the following year, the film will be released in theatres.
