South Star Vijay Deverakonda is receiving criticism, people are trolling him. In Liger’s opening days the movie proved to be a Disaster. Executive Director of Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir Cinema Manoj Desai, in an interview, slammed Vijay Deverakonda for his comments.

The theatre owner said, "Why are you showing smartness by saying ‘Boycott our movie’? People won’t even watch on OTT. Such behavior of yours has put us in trouble and impacted our advance bookings. Mr. Vijay, you are anaconda not ‘Konda Konda’. You are talking like an anaconda. ‘Vinaash kaale vipareet buddhi’, when the time of destruction inches closer, the mind stops working, and you are doing that. Anyways, it’s your wish."

He further added, ‘Watch the movie or if you don’t wish to, then don’t watch’, haven’t you seen its impact. If the audience will not watch, see what Taapsee Pannu, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar are going through. I had high expectations from the movie, but such statements during the interview had harsh impacts. One shouldn’t do this and never pay heed to hashtags," 

Speaking about Vijay Deverakonda he said, “Kaun rokenge dekh lenge. I feel that there is no room for fear, when I had nothing, I didn’t fear, and now after having achieved something, I don’t think there needs to be any fear even now. We have mother’s blessings, people’s love, God’s support, a fire inside us, we will see who will stop us!."

Vijay Deverakonda further said, “I believe that life has taught me to be a fighter. When I was younger I had to fight for respect and money...later I had to fight for my place in the industry and even to get work. Every film was like a tough fight for me. When I was doing my first film, we couldn't find a producer to bankroll it, so I did the film for free, we had to raise money to cover production expenses. At that point, I was nobody in the industry. When my third film Arjun Reddy was about to be out, we faced protest before it even hit the theatres. But it turned out to be a hit at the box office and now people know me because of my work in the film."
