Ramesh Babu Garu, the elder brother of movie producer and South superstar Mahesh Babu, has passed away. He had been ill for a long time. Ramesh Babu was the eldest son of superstar Krishna. People in the industry are in shock after his death. Many celebrities including Kalyan have condoled the passing away of Ramesh Babu.

Ramesh Babu passed away at a time when Mahesh Babu is positive with Covid. Just a day earlier on January 7, Mahesh Babu himself tweeted and shared the information that he was covid positive. Director Ramesh Verma has also confirmed the passing away of Ramesh Babu Garu. Ramesh Verma tweeted, "Stunned here, Ramesh Babu Garu is no more. Condolences to Krishna Garu, Mahesh Babu Garu and the entire family. Om Shanti."

Film producer BA Raju tweeted, 'It is with great sorrow that we have announced the passing away of our beloved Ramesh Babu Garu. He's always going to survive in our hearts. We request all our well-wishers to follow corona norms and avoid gathering at the crematorium.'
