On July 12 yesterday, TVS launched India's first ethanol-driven motorcycle TVS RTR 200 FI E100. The motorcycle was launched by the country's Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and TVS Motor Company Chairman Venu Srinivasan.

The luxurious bike TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ethanol Concept was showcased for the first time at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. TVS is the flagship brand of Apache TVS Motor, which has more than 3.5 million subscribers worldwide. During the launch, VENU Srinivasan, chairman of TVS Motor Company, said, "We are very happy to launch the TVS Apache RTR 200 E100 in the presence of India's Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari. TvS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 Sports features green graphics and ethanol logos. The bike is equipped with Twin Spray Twin Port EFI technology. that provides great and superior racepons in the run. This system provides better power in all situations. In terms of power, the motorcycle produces 21PS of power at 8500 rpm and 18.1Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The bike can run at a speed of 129 kmph.

As per the information received, ethanol is made from a renewable plant source in India. It's non-toxic, biodegradable as well as easy to access, safe for stores and transport. An oxygen fuel contains 35 percent of oxygen. The use of ethanol as fuel will reduce dependence on import of petroleum and enhance energy security. The special edition bike is available in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka at an attractive price of 1,20,000.
