On Sunday morning, people woke up to the news of Sridevi's sudden death. She was in Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding when she suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday night, sending her family, fans and Bollywood in shock. Sridevi's untimely death has left a void in Bollywood. But more than her fans and film industry, it's a big loss to her family. Five months before daughter Janhvi Kapoor's big Bollywood debut, Sridevi died of a cardiac arrest in Dubai.

While her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor accompanied Sridevi to the wedding in Dubai, Janhvi decided to stay behind in Mumbai to shoot for her debut film Dhadak. And the news would have come as a major shocker for this star kid as she couldn't get to spend the last days with her mom. Also, Sridevi won't be there to see Jhanvi's debut film that's releasing this July.

  

Veteran Bollywood actor and Padma Shri awardee Sridevi, who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, passed away. She was 54. Sridevi, died late in the night reportedly due to cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she had gone along with her family to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding.

Legendary actress Sridevi breathed her last on Saturday at around midnight in Dubai due to cardiac arrest. Sridevi, who began her acting career as a child artiste in 1969 devotional Tamil film Thunaivan made her debut in Hindi cinema with Lakshmi starrer Julie in 1975 but it was Solva Sawan in 1979, a remake of 16 Vayathinile (1977) that marked her first Hindi film as the lead actress.
