This has been revealed in a research by Ohio State University, New York University and Helmholtz Center for Information Security (CISPA). In this research, it has been told that a few days ago a tool named InputScope was developed. This tool tested 1.5 lakh apps. Out of this, 1 lakh apps were pre-installed in Google Play store, 30 thousand Samsung phones and 20 thousand apps were from Chinese company Baidu. Now in these 1.5 lakh apps, there were 12,706 such apps which had malware named backdoor. At the same time, there were 4,028 apps that included blacklisted words. The study has found that this malware is found more in apps that are pre-installed in smartphones.

These apps give access to the private data of the users to the hackers. It includes remote login, password, contact details and payment interface. This information reaches the hackers without the permission of the users. According to the researchers, backdoor malware contains information such as secret access keys, master password and secret privileges commands etc. Apart from this, if you talk about blacklisted words, then it includes such as censorship keywords, cyber bullying expressions and week passwords.
