Muslims from London have taken an initiative in donating tones of food to the needy and homeless people from across the city to make their Christmas better. There was a food drive organized in East London Mosque in order to collect donations from the people and around 7,500 people came in to lend their support for the needy. 

The supplies included rice, pasta, fruits, cereal and tinned goods along with many other edibles. Donation was mostly done by college students, local businessman , schools , college and universities.

More than 90 percent of the goods will be given to the people who are not following Islam and this act has come as the "Restoration of faith in Humanity".
