Indore: A major cause of hackers has surfaced in Indore city. In which the police have arrested two accused of cheating online by taking ATM card data from the website of Russian hackers. The accused had made a transaction of 21 thousand 188 rupees from the ATM card of the complainant living in Indore. Police has also got debit and credit card data of many people from them. According to the police, on December 9, 2019, Anoop Tiwari, who lives in Shreeji Valley Bichauli masculine, filed a complaint in the cyber cell. In which Anoop had informed that a transaction of 21188 thousand rupees has been done from his HDFC Bank ATM card. He did not even get any OTP in this regard. Amid investigations, police have arrested two youths, Chirag Elavadhi (26) and Mukul Kumar (19), who run a company called Roaring Wolf Media Prali in Shekhar Central, Indore.

It was learned that Chirag is from Hisar in Haryana and Mukul from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. He was presently living in Indore and was running the said company. The accused informed the police that millions of debit and credit card data are available for sale on the underground market of Russian hackers website. The accused had purchased the data of the complainant's card from this website and made a transaction of 21188 thousand rupees.

According to the cyber police, OTPs are not required for online transactions on international websites, which is why the complainant did not receive the OTP for the transaction. Police have seized computers and laptops from the accused, whose investigation has found the debit and credit card data of many people. Police said that the data of the card of Pankaj Pimple living in Rambagh, Indore has also been recovered from the accused.
