Lucknow: An attempt has been made to vitiate the atmosphere in Bareilly, about 250 km from Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow. In fact, Bareilly's Jama Masjid has been threatened with a bomb. The incident took place on Wednesday (September 7) morning. To vitiate the atmosphere, the accused fled by pasting a handwritten letter on the wall of Jama Masjid.
It was written in this letter that 'On Friday, the mosque will be blown up with a bomb and the Imam will be shot.' As soon as the incident was reported, the police administration has become alert and in a hurry, the police officials ordered an investigation into the matter. The police team reached the spot and took possession of the letter and examined the CCTV installed in the surrounding area. In this case, Imam Khurshid Alam has informed that he has no enmity with anyone, nor is there any dispute, even after this, an attempt has been made to spoil the atmosphere by putting up such inflammatory posters.
Imam has claimed that this mischief has been done deliberately so that the atmosphere of the city can be spoiled. The accused knew that there was no CCTV installed anywhere in the gate of the mosque and on the street of the mosque. Taking advantage of this, he put an inflammatory letter early in the morning. People have been requested by the police to maintain peace and order. At present, the police team has also questioned people in the area. Superintendent of Police City Rahul Bhati says that in the morning, information was received that such a letter has been put up in the building adjacent to Jama Masjid so that the atmosphere can be spoiled, a case has been registered, CCTV is being scanned, advance action is being taken.
