Today, on Wednesday morning, Katihar Passenger train left from Siliguri Junction in the morning, which killed the elephants. After being pushed by the train, the elephant fell away and died just a short distance from the spot.

The bodies of those elephants were found lying near the railway line. The forest department and police team reached the spot. Also, crowds of local people thronged there. A postmortem of elephants was also conducted. It is estimated that an elephant was pregnant. Due to this, the child in his stomach also died.
