Jerusalem: A Palestinian man stabbed three Israelis in a settlement in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli paramedics, before being shot dead by Israeli security personnel on Tuesday.
Three victims of a knife attack near a gas station in the West Bank settlement of Ariel are being treated for serious wounds, according to medical personnel.
Both the condition of the Palestinian attacker and the cause of the stabbing were not immediately confirmed.

The attack was the most recent of incidents linked to Israeli-Palestinian violence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which has claimed the lives of at least 23 Israelis and more than 130 Palestinians this year, the deadliest since 2006.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs began keeping a careful record of deaths in 2005, on a monthly average, making it the deadliest year in the West Bank.

For example, the Israeli army killed an average of one Palestinian every day last month. This average shows no sign of abating as Palestinians in the West Bank maintain their resistance to Israeli occupation.
In the town of Beituniya, which is close to Ramallah, Israeli forces killed a 15-year-old Palestinian girl on 14 November.
Fulla al-Masalmeh, a town in the southern West Bank, was named as the woman.

During a military incursion into Bitunia, the Israeli military claimed that a vehicle approached them but would not stop when ordered. Al-Masalmeh was killed when he began shooting at the car.
