New Delhi: Due to the Coronavirus which is causing a worldwide furor, people have come to the fore in the first case of death in Bihar. A few days ago, a 38-year-old youth who came to India from Qatar was admitted to Patna AIIMS on Saturday night. He was a patient of diabetes and his kidney was also impaired. This is the first case of death under 60 years of age. No case of corona infection was reported in Bihar till now.

The second death was also reported in Mumbai on Sunday itself. A 65-year-old veteran died of corona at Mumbai's Kasturba Gandhi Hospital. However, he had diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. A 67-year-old veteran has also died in Surat, Gujarat. He was a patient of asthma and both kidneys had failed. This is the first case of death from Corona in Gujarat. Six out of seven people who died had diabetes.

The first death due to an infection from Corona occurred in Karnataka on 11 March. The second death took place on 13 March in Delhi. The third death was recorded on 17 March in Maharashtra, the fourth death on 19 March in Punjab and one each in Bihar, Maharashtra and Gujarat on 22 March. In the last two days, 40% new cases have been reported.
