Amaravati: In the first phase of Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat elections, three former rural volunteers won for sarpanch posts in Visakhapatnam district. Volunteers worked to distribute government services to the people.

Valentine's Sarpanch at Jamadulapalem in Mungapaka Mandal, Mangalapuram village in Buchaita Mandal, Kasinkota Mandal. Onampudi Bhaskar Raju was supported by The Sarpanch in Melipakalo, Padmarekha in Mangalapuram, Karaka Rajyalakshmi in Jamadalapalam. Incidentally, Valentine was able to impress the villagers through contacts with him when he got government services.

I would tell you that a young Russian educated doctor contested the recent Sarpanch elections in Guntur district. Jada Jitin Dev, a doctor in Guntur city, has dropped his job in his village Gopalavaripaipalam to test his election prospects. This village comes under the rural area of Chilakaluripeta.
