When Tata Motors formally debuted the Tiago EV or electric vehicle in the Indian market last month, there was quite a stir. It could be the cheapest electric hatchback in the nation right now, but it also has a tonne of amenities and a good range. However, many people grumbled about the online reservation window being littered with bugs on Monday, the first day that bookings were allowed. Later, the business released a statement citing a spike in online bookings.
For a deposit of 21,000, Tata Motors started the Tiago EV reservation window. Reservations can be made at dealerships, however, several customers who went online complained that the official website frequently crashed. The author of this report also had the same experience.

Given the Tiago EV's starting price of 8.49 lakh rupees, a rush to make a reservation was anticipated (ex-showroom). Additionally, keep in mind that these rates are introductory and are valid for the first 10,000 reservations only. However, despite the anticipated rush online, many prospective buyers continued to try their luck despite being timed out.
Later in the day, Tata Motors cited a rush of buyers making reservations as a result of the problems that many people experienced online. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, "We are overwhelmed with the response to the Tiago.ev at our dealerships and on our website." “With thousands of customers rushing to book online at the same time, the website slowed down for a bit and is restored. We regret the inconvenience to our customers. All customer inquiries and bookings-related concerns are being suitably addressed."
