New Delhi: In a bold move to diversify its content and appeal to a broader audience, TikTok, the widely popular short-form video platform, is rolling out a new feature called "Text Posts," aiming to rival Twitter's famous character limit. With Text Posts, users now have the option to share text-only content with their followers.

Much like Twitter's tweets, TikTok's Text Posts are confined to 280 characters, but the similarity ends there. Text Posts come with added features, including the ability to include images, GIFs, and stickers, adding a more interactive dimension to the traditional text format.

Users can also pin their Text Posts to the top of their profiles, increasing visibility to their followers. By introducing Text Posts, TikTok is hoping to attract users who prefer a more conventional social media experience.
