Kolkata: A period of political violence continues in West Bengal before the assembly elections. Violence erupted on Tuesday in Nandigram in the state among activists of Bharatiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress. Shubhendu Adhikari, who came to BJP from TMC, is about to take out a rally here. When the supporters of Shubhendu Adhikari were going towards the rally venue, the buses were vandalized. Now the local police have reached the spot and control over the situation is being found.

The roadshow is being taken out on Tuesday by Subhendu Adhikari in Nandigram, after which he has to address a rally. This is the first meeting of Shubhendu in Nandigram area after being admitted to Bharatiya Janata Party. Before this, there was violence in East Midnapore also last week. Even then, Shubhendu Adhikari and Trinamool Congress supporters came face to face.

In fact, there is growing anger among TMC supporters towards Shubhendu Adhikari. First, he left the party himself and after that many TMC MLAs, leaders are also seen joining the BJP along with him. Elections are due in Bengal in May next year, in which the political battle between BJP and TMC is increasing on the ground. There have been many such occasions in Bengal where supporters of both parties have clashed.
