Kolkata: TheCentral Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed a charge sheet in the Rampurhat court in Birbhum district in west Bengal in connection with the violence that broke out in West Bengal's Birbhum district. In it, the CBI has alleged that it was Anarul Hossain, the former head of the Rampurhat Community Block-1 unit of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), who ordered the murder. After this, on March 21, 2022 , 10 people were brutally murdered in Bogtui village and the police were also kept away from it.

According to media reports, the CBI has mentioned this in its 1192-page charge sheet. The charge sheet has been prepared on the basis of eyewitnesses, CCTV footage and statements of two women who were burnt to death at Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital. TMC leader Anarul Hussain, who was arrested on March 24, 2022, in the case is currently in judicial custody. Before the CBI took him into custody, he was charged with murder, arson, rioting with deadly weapons and criminal conspiracy.

At 8:20 am on March 21, 2022, there was a massive bombardment at Bogtui crossroads on NH-114A, in which bhadu shaikh, the deputy pradhan of TMC-backed Barshal gram panchayat, lost his life. According to the chargesheet, Anarul Hussain had ordered the attack to be carried out in revenge. The CBI has framed charges in two separate offences, but the CBI also underlined that the two incidents are related to each other. Four persons are accused in the Bhadu Sheikh murder case, while 18 others, including Anarul Hussain, have been made accused in the violence that broke out after sheikh's murder.
