Narada sting case: TMC leader outraged over CBI probe, blamed governor to be killer of Constitution

Kolkata: The CBI today moved the Supreme Court against the house arrest of four TMC leaders arrested in west Bengal's Narada sting case. the CBI has challenged the May 21 verdict of the Kolkata High Court and sought adjournment of today's hearing. The Kolkata HC had referred the matter to a larger bench and ordered the arrest of the leaders.

Meanwhile, TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee has hit out at the state governor saying west bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar transferred the Narada sting case to cbi which is against the constitution. We know that we cannot file a criminal case against them. We are requesting people to file a complaint against them. He is the assassin of the Indian Constitution.  The leaders arrested by the CBI include Cabinet Ministers Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, MLA Madan Mitra, former Kolkata Mayor and former Cabinet Minister Shobhan Chatterjee.

Let us tell you Narada sting tape case were made public before the assembly elections in Bengal in 2016. It was claimed that these tapes were recorded in 2014. It saw TMC ministers, MPs and MLA-looking persons allegedly taking cash from representatives of a fictitious company. The sting operation was carried out by Matthew Samuel of Narada News Portal. In 2017, the Calcutta High Court ordered an inquiry into the tape to CBI.
