Kolkata: The Mamata government of West Bengal and the central government often clash. BJP and TMC leaders miss no opportunity to attack each other. But this time the limit was reached when a TMC MP compared Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to a black serpent. After this statement, a ruckus has started.

Kalyan Banerjee, Trinamool Congress MP from Bankura, Bengal, said, 'Narendra Modi came here before 2019. He promised to create a better India. Yes, they fulfilled their promise. GDP growth has come down to 1 percent. Hail Narendra Modi and his Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Kalyan was holding a rally in his parliamentary constituency, during which he said, 'Just as people die due to the biting of Kali Nagin, similarly people are dying due to Nirmala Sitharaman. He has destroyed the economy. Shouldn't they be ashamed? You have destroyed the economy and you are still sitting on the chair. Sitharaman should resign from his post. He is the worst finance minister.

The rally was organized by TMC in protest against the increase in petro-prices and personalization of railways. BJP national secretary Rahul Sinha and former BJP state president Rahul Sinha have lodged an FIR against Kalyan Banerjee.
