A letter has been written by 49 celebrities to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the growing lynching incidents in the country and the matter is now under discussion. Responses from all sides are constantly coming in this order. Now Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan has also responded to the issue in a tweet. Nusrat tweeted a letter from her Twitter handle in which she wrote, "Today where everyone is talking on issues like road, electricity, aviation, I am glad that our society has raised a very basic issue, "The life of human being."

In her letter, Nusrat wrote, "I very much expect from our citizens to raise their voices and at least contribute to it. Incidents of hate crime and mob lynching are on the rise in our country. Between 2014 and 2019, these incidents have been the highest and have targeted Dalits, Muslims and backward the most."

The MP further wrote in his letter: "Since 2019, 11 hate crimes and 4 murders have taken place and all of them were Dalits and Minorities. Nusrat also wrote in his letter that killings were taking place in the name of Lord Rama. Last year, the Supreme Court ordered a halt to such cases, but the government is silent. At the end of his letter, Nusrat wrote a few lines of Iqbal's creation "Sare Jahan Se acha".
