Kolkata: Since the Trinamool Congress (TMC) victory in West Bengal, its goons have been playing such a "murderer" that the BJP has even gone far, even the Congress and the Left. More than 100 BJP offices and houses of workers have been ransacked in the state. The gang rape of two women pole agents has come to light, which the Bengal police are calling fake. Now, there are reports of an attack on the BJP candidate from Purbasthali north.

It is being reported that BJP candidate and scientist Gobardhan Das has been attacked from Purbasthali North. The goons of the TMC have created such terror. Scientist Anand Ranganathan has sought the safety of Gobardhan Das from Union Home Minister Amit Shah through social media. Several houses of BJP workers have been destroyed and ransacked in that village. Das's house has also been attacked. TMC goons surrounded his house, leaving him and his family under house arrest. Crude bombs have also been thrown at his house. Anand Ranganathan has said that he is surrounded in his house amidst the bombing. He has since sought assistance from the Union Home Ministry, which was taken cognizance of and action assured.

Anand Ranganathan, Home Ministry has approached Gobardhan Das and said that CRPF will reach his village soon. Gobardhan Das is a professor in molecular medicine in JNU. He is also working as an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in the US. He was fielded by the BJP this time. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar had summoned DGP and kolkata police commissioner and sought a report but they have not been reported to the violence so far. Meanwhile, the BJP has reported the killing of nine of its workers.
