New Delhi: IPL 2022 has now reached its final stage. A total of four matches are to be played this season, including a final, two qualifiers and an eliminator. One of these qualifier matches is to be played today i.e. on Tuesday 24 May and with this the first team to reach the 15th season of IPL will be announced. Gujarat Titans (GT) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 1 match.
The number one team of the IPL 2022 points table, Gujarat Titans and the number two team Rajasthan Royals will compete at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The team that wins this match will qualify for the final. Thus the first finalist of the tournament will be found today. However, the losing team will also have another chance to reach the final, but the team will face the winner of the Eliminator match.
According to Indian time, the first qualifier match of IPL 2022 will be played between Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans and Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals in Kolkata. The team winning this match will enter the final, while the losing team will face the winning team of the Eliminator match (Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore) in Qualifier 2. The team which wins Qualifier 2 will reach the final of IPL 2022.
