Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation the first section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Sunday (February 12) at Dausa in Ra Jasthan. This expressway will connect Dausa with the national capital Delhi. Pm Modi will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate other road projects worth over Rs 18,100 crore in Rajasthan. PM Modi will reach Dausa directly by helicopter from Delhi. Therefore, three helipads have been built for security reasons close to the venue in Dausa.

With the opening of the first section of the 246-km-long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Delhi to Dausa, the journey from the country's capital Delhi to Jaipur will be reduced from five hours to three and a half hours.   The total length of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connecting Delhi and Mayanagari Mumbai is 1,386 km. According to the data, after the completion of the construction work, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will become the world's longest expressway with eight lanes. If needed, this expressway can be widened to 12 lanes.

The first section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, developed at a total cost of Rs 12,150 crore, will greatly benefit many districts of Rajasthan. This will also accelerate the economic development of Rajasthan. With the completion of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the travel distance between Delhi and Mumbai will be reduced by 12 percent. Along with this, the time taken by road will also be reduced by 50 percent. At present, it takes 24 hours to travel from Delhi to Mumbai on one side. Once the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is ready, it will be half-hearted or about 12 hours.
