Ranchi: The birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda is being celebrated all over the nation. Recently, the Central Government has announced to celebrate Munda's birth anniversary as 'Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas'. Many senior leaders, including the PM, are paying tribute to him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tributes to freedom fighter Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. He posted on Twitter and wrote, 'Respectful tribute to Lord Birsa Munda┬аon his birth anniversary. He always fought to give a sharp edge to the freedom movement as well as to protect the interests of tribal society. His contribution to the country will always be remembered'.

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren also paid tribute┬аto him. He posted on Twitter, "Heartiest greetings and felicitations to all Jharkhandites on the auspicious occasion of Statehood Day on the birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Birsa Munda. Warm Regards to the struggle and martyrdom of the immortal brave martyrs and agitators of Jharkhand.
