New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday gave an overview of the work done by the Modi government on the occasion of its nine years in office. He said that 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Anna Yojana' provided food to 80 crore people of the country. He said that this is equal to the population of the whole of Europe and North America. Similarly, Jaishankar said that 40 crore people have benefited from the 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana'.

He said that the benefit of 'PM Jan Dhan Yojana' has been given to as many people as the population of the whole of Europe. He then explained that the benefit of 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana' was given to 15 crore people, which is equal to the population of Japan. "This country has elected a prime minister who has the ability to deliver food grains from India to the whole of Europe and America, can provide financial support to all of Europe and can give homes to all of Japan."

Jaishankar further explained that PM Modi provided gas cylinder facility to the same population as people living in Germany. He said that 9 crore people of the country have benefited from the 'Ujjwala Yojana'. Similarly, the population of Russia has been given electricity connections. Along with this, Jaishankar told how today's India is getting respect all over the world, because a big change is taking place here.
