On Saturday, National Weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu has enhanced India's pride by winning a medal on the first day of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Mirabai, 26, has won a silver medal in the women's 49 kg category, opening India's account at the Mega Sports Fest in Tokyo. The event was postponed for a year last year due to the global havoc caused by the Novell Coronavirus.

The same Bollywood actor and sports lover Salman Khan had also wished Mirabai Chanu on Twitter. "Best wishes for becoming a superstar of India today @mirabai_chanu he wrote. You made us proud. You turned out to be a real domineering. #Tokyo #TeamIndia" Apart from Salman Khan, many stars from the film industry celebrated Chanu's medal victory on all social media platforms.

But Salman's post is special for Mirabai as she is Mirabai Chanu's favourite actor. Chanu had named Salman when Mirabai was asked about her favourite actor due to one of her old interviews. "I love Salman Khan. His body structure is all she likes.'' India's Mirabai Chanu has won a big victory in the Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. She was awarded the Bronze Medal by his first weightlifter Karnam Malleswari at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
