Tokyo: India has won its first medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. Yes, and the medal was won by women's paddler Bhavina Patel in the Table Tennis Class FOUR event with her brilliant performance. This time Bhavina created history and won a silver medal. Most happily, Bhavina has won the medal for the country in her first Paralympics Games. In fact, Bhavina lost 3-0 in the final and the same defeat befell by the hands of world number one China's Paddler, who did not allow Bhavina to dominate herself in any game.

In fact, the Chinese paddler defeated Bhavina 7-11, 5-11, 6-11. Let me tell you that Bhavina Patel had earlier started her campaign at the Tokyo Paralympics. In her journey of the tournament, she had knocked down players like World Number Two, World No.3. Her performance did not seem to have made her debut at the Paralympics Games. Moving fast, Bhavina missed out proceeding a gold medal.

In fact, world No.12 Bhavina lost to world number one Zhou Jing of China in the golden victory battle. However, the joy of winning a silver medal for women's table tennis player Bhavina Patel at the Tokyo Paralympics is double because it has been achieved on National Sports Day. Yes, on the day when the players are respected, the 34-year-old Indian paddler has raised the country's stature with her game.
