Lucknow: Late on Thursday evening, a tragic incident unfolded at the Chhajarsi toll plaza in Pilkhuwa, Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district. A toll plaza employee, diligently performing his duties, found himself in a perilous situation as a speeding car approached the toll booth. In a harrowing moment captured by CCTV cameras, the employee, desperately trying to avoid the oncoming vehicle, attempted to move out of harm's way. However, despite his efforts, the car collided head-on with the toll booth worker, inflicting severe injuries.
The impact of the collision was so forceful that the toll plaza worker was thrown into the air momentarily before crashing onto the front part of the car. The reckless driver showed no regard for the injured employee and callously sped away from the scene, leaving the victim critically injured and in urgent need of medical attention.
Following the distressing incident, emergency services were summoned, and the injured toll plaza worker was swiftly transported to a nearby private hospital. As the victim fights for his life, the police have launched a thorough investigation into the hit-and-run collision. Their primary objective is to identify and apprehend the driver responsible for the reckless and dangerous actions that resulted in grave harm to the toll booth employee.
