Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks' new movie Greyhound, purchased by Sony Pictures for Rs 525 crore at the time of Covid-19 crisis, has made the biggest explosion of this year on the digital platform. The film Greyhound, which was screened directly on Apple television instead of theatre, has increased the viewership of Apple television by 30 percent in the digital world. The movie has broken all the records of all other shows after its release.

This film is based on a true story related to naval combat in the Atlantic Ocean, during the Second World War. Tom Hanks played the role of a Commander Ernst Cross, captain of a naval fleet, and is assigned the task of a war campaign for the first time. This fleet is deployed under the protection of a larger fleet of water vessels supplying essential goods to friendly countries, this fleet gets attacked by submarines.

The Captain keeps the morale of his team-up. Also, until the arrival of the Air Force, they combat with the enemy. Greyhound is the codename of a naval ship with the commander named Cross. The movie Greyhound is based on a 1955 novel 'The Good Shepherd',  written by CS Forster and the movie was directed by Oscar-winner director Aaron Schneider.
