Toyota Kirloskar Sees 14% Sales Growth in Sept Amid Festive Season Surge

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a 14% year-on-year increase in its wholesale figures for September, with 26,847 units sold. In the same period last year, the automaker had dispatched 23,590 units to its dealers.

The company's sales included 23,802 units in the domestic market, while 3,045 units were exported, according to a statement from Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

As the festive season begins, TKM is seeing increased customer footfall and inquiries, boosting confidence for strong sales during this period. Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at TKM, said, "Our SUV, MPV, and small car segments have seen substantial growth across the country, contributing to over 90% of our September sales."

To meet the rising demand, Toyota Kirloskar has introduced operational improvements, including a third production shift. This has helped streamline the supply chain and reduce waiting times for high-demand models, Manohar added.
