The Agriculture Bill was passed by rajya sabha on Sunday but some opposition parties were in a mood of protest. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the farmers' bills passed in Parliament would benefit only organizations like Adani and Ambanis.

Let us share briefly for your information, but Uttam Kumar Reddy, addressing a press conference at the Parliament premises on Monday, strongly condemned the BJP government for selling the interest of farmers to some corporates. He announced that congress would organise agitations across Telangana on September 25 in collaboration with farmer organisations against the Narendra Modi government's anti-farmer policies. He said that all district headquarters and assembly constituencies will be heavily protested.

The TPCC president said that the bills have been stolen by the protection given to the agricultural community under the Constitution and now private companies are licensed to exploit farmers at their will. He said that the minimum support price (MSP) for farmers was not mentioned and no rules were made to regulate the contract farming.
