New Delhi: A team of forensic experts reached the Red Fort on Saturday to gather evidence in connection with the violence that erupted during the tractor parade of farmers on Republic Day in protest against the Center's new agricultural laws. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police is investigating this case and several teams have been formed to identify the culprits.

Police termed the incident of vandalism in the Red Fort complex as an anti-national activity. An official has told that a team of forensic experts visited the Red Fort and it is collecting evidence. The Special Cell of Delhi Police is investigating the conspiracy and criminal conspiracy of violence during the tractor parade. The Delhi Police had claimed that there was a pre-planned and thought-out plan to circumvent the consensus reached with farmer leaders to embarrass the government internationally on 26 January.

Police said criminal cases have been registered and the investigation is being done under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and sedition related sections of the Indian Penal Code. Along with this, the role and activities of people and organizations located outside India and the country are being investigated.
