Traffic Diversion Plan Implemented for Anant Chaturdashi Procession

INDORE: In preparation for the Anant Chaturdashi procession scheduled for Thursday, the traffic management authorities have introduced a comprehensive traffic diversion strategy. This initiative aims to ensure the convenience of commuters and the smooth flow of traffic during the event. Roads adjacent to the procession route will either be redirected or subject to restrictions for the duration of the procession. The procession, which promises to be a vibrant spectacle, will feature tableau displays from various parts of the city, assembling at Chikmangalur Square and subsequently moving through multiple key locations.

The Route:
The grand procession is set to commence at approximately 6 PM from Chikmangalur Square and extend late into the night. The procession will traverse through the following areas:

Chikmangalur Square
Jail Road Square
MG Road Square
Mrignayani Emporium
Fruit Market
Nandalapura
Jawahar Marg
Narsingh Bazaar
Cloth Market
Khajuri Bazaar
Rajwada
Restricted Routes:
During the procession, certain routes will be restricted for vehicular movement, including:

Bhagirath Pura T to Bhandari Bridge Tri-section
Regal Square to Shastri Bridge and Mrignayani
Saifee Square to Sanjay Setu and Nandlalpura
IMC Square to Mragnayni Square and Chikmanglur Square
Rajkumar Bridge to DRP Line Square
Rambagh to ACP Office Malharganj Badwali Chowki
Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed towards Rambagh, Subhash Nagar Water Tank, ACP Office Malharganj, Badwali Chowki, Itarwia Bazar, Sabzi Mandi, Dargah Square, Macchi Bazar, and Kabootarkhana Chowki during this time.

Parking of all types of vehicles will also be prohibited in Nandlalpura, Yeshwant Road, Ramlaxman Bazaar, Narsingh Bazaar, G Sachchidanand, Gorakund, Shakkar Bazar, Subhash Chowk, and Krishnapura Bridge.

Diverted Routes:
To facilitate traffic flow, certain routes have been designated for diversion:

Traffic heading from Marimata towards the railway station and bus stand will be diverted to Bhagirathpura T via MR-4 under Rajkumar Bridge to SGSITS.

Traffic moving from Jawahar Marg to Yeshwant Road intersection via Nandlalpura will be rerouted to Saifee Square via Hathipala.

Vehicles traveling from Madhumilan towards Nandalapura Yeshwant Road Square and Rajmohalla should take Agrasen Square Sapna Sangeeta Road from Forest T.

Traffic going from Regal Square Lantern Square to Marimata Square will be directed to Vallabh Nagar T towards Marimata, using M.R.4 route via Bhagirath Pura T.

Vehicles bound for Mrignayani Rajwada from Regal Square via Shastri Bridge will be diverted to Agrasen Sapna Sangeeta Road from GPO, Forest T.

Traffic bound for Jawahar Marg will be redirected through Rajmohalla Square or Malganj Square via Biabani, Dargah square, or Mhow Naka, Machhi Bazar, Pandharinath, Chandrabhaga Bridge via Bada Rawala.

Vehicles traveling from Malharganj police station to Mrignayani via MG Road and Rajwada will be rerouted to Malharganj ACP Office and IMC via Badwali Chowki and Subhash Nagar.

This comprehensive traffic diversion plan has been put in place to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic during the Anant Chaturdashi procession. Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly to minimize inconvenience during this eventful occasion.
