Tragic Loss Abroad: West Singhbhum's Student Ram Raut Dies in Italy, Leaving Grieving Family and Unanswered Questions

Rome/Ranchi: An Indian student hailing from Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district passed away in Italy under mysterious circumstances. Ram Raut, a resident of West Singhbhum, lost his life on January 2.

According to the police, Raut had gone to Italy for pursuing an MBA and was residing in rented accommodation. The tragic incident unfolded when Raut's parents attempted to reach him to convey their New Year's wishes, but he did not respond to their calls. Concerned, his parents contacted the landlord, who disclosed that the student had been discovered dead in the washroom of another residence.

Upon receiving news of his demise, Ram Raut's family sought the assistance of senior government officials and public representatives from Jharkhand to repatriate his body to India.

Addressing the incident, Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum, stated that upon learning of Ram Raut's death, she informed the Home Department and the Migration cell of Jharkhand for the necessary procedures.

Mittal affirmed her active monitoring of the case's developments and ongoing communication with the bereaved family.
