Know your customer (KYC) is still getting the same for the bank and mobile number, but you may soon have to get KYC for the DTH set-top box. In fact, following the directions of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has prepared a letter of suggestion for KYC of the set-top box of DTH. On December 27, 2018, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry had sent a directive to TRAI recommending the KYC on DTH. The directive also suggested the kyc process. On the other hand, if you would like to give your suggestion to the government on the matter, you can send the suggestion by August 19. Also if you don't favor it you can also send your suggestions by September 2.

Suggestions asked for: Do DTH set-top boxes need to be KYC or e-KYC?. What is the procedure to be done for KYC?. Only once during DTH installation is KYC enough or the KYC should be re-KYC after some time to know the correct location. If so, how long will the verification be done again?. Should the KYC of the existing set-top box be accompanied by a new set-top box? If so, how many days should be fixed for the KYC of the existing set-top box?. Should it include location-based services (LBS) to track the location of your set-top box? Should any fees apply to this?. Other issues related to KYC of DTH set-top box?
