Amritsar: Farmers staging dharna against agricultural laws have announced that the rail track should be cleared for 15 days, so that the movement of the train will be restored. Therefore, the Railways has made a temporary plan to restore the operations of 17 mail and express trains from November 24 to the Punjab region.

After meeting CM Capt Amarinder Singh, farmers in Punjab have agreed to vacate the rail track for 15 days. Passengers and goods trains have been approved for this announcement by farmers, who are sitting on the railway track protesting against agricultural laws. After the announcement of the farmers to vacate the tracks, the Railways has prepared a temporary plan for the restoration of 17 mail and express trains for Punjab from November 24.

In a statement issued by the railway, it is said that the trains are likely to start operating for Punjab from the evening of 23 November. Information was given to the state government and security units related divisions about the plan. According to media reports, Northern Railway reported that a total of 17 trains will be restored, including eight for the Punjab region and nine for Jammu and Katra. However, all trains will be cancelled on Monday. The 26 special trains scheduled on 23 and 24 November will be closed.
