Honeytrap gang busted in Vrindavan, woman along with 3 others arrested

Bharatpur: Police have busted a gang involved in extorting money from persons by trapping them in a honeytrap in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The police have arrested four persons, including a woman, in connection with the case. Two men, residents of the Chiksana police station area, were trapped in a honeytrap by a woman who called them to meet her and held them hostage, police said. Then, along with her accomplices, she threatened to implicate them in a false rape case and demanded money.

The case is from the Chiksana police station area, police said. The woman first befriended a man named Shyamveer, a resident of the village Khaimara Kala. The two started talking on the phone every day. On New Year's Eve, the woman called him to the Prem Mandir in Vrindavan to meet him. Shyamveer, along with his village friend Dharamveer, reached Vrindavan on a bike to meet Kavita Devi (30). The woman then took them to her flat where her accomplices Dinesh, Vijay, and Ramkesh were already present. All of them together held the two hostages and threatened to implicate them in a false rape case and demanded Rs 3 lakh from them. The woman called Shyamveer's house from his phone and demanded Rs 3 lakh. The victim's family immediately complained to the police and put their phone on surveillance and the location was found in Vrindavan. The police immediately arrested the culprits.

Police said that four criminals of the gang who kidnapped and demanded ransom have been arrested. They have been identified as Dinesh Kumar Meena (25), Ramkesh Bairwa (22), Vijay Bairwa (35), and Kavita Meena (30). Now they are being strictly interrogated and trying to find out how many such incidents have been carried out by this gang. Bharatpur CO Rural Brajesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that a person named Sachin had reported that his father had gone to the market with his friend. But someone called from his mobile that his father had been kidnapped and demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh. After receiving the information, the police team went to Vrindavan and rescued both of them from possession and arrested three criminals and a woman of the honey trap gang.
