Good news! Indian Railways to launch unreserved trains on these routes

New unreserved special railway services have been introduced on several railway routes confirmed by the Ministry of Indian Railways. The Indian Railways has also informed about it. These new services have been introduced with the intention of facilitating the movement of passengers. So far, some of the major railway routes on which these unreserved special trains are running include Baramula Junction-Banihal section (Jammu and Kashmir), Baramulla Junction-Badgam section (Jammu and Kashmir), Delhi-Tundla section (Uttar Pradesh), Kanpur Central-Tundla section (Uttar Pradesh), Kanpur Central-Phaphund section (Uttar Pradesh).

A statement has been issued by the Ministry of Railways stating that unreserved train services are being introduced in a phased manner. The statement also clarified that the reason behind the reintroduction of UTS at the mobile app facility is to avoid congestion at the ticket counters and ensure that social distances are followed to avoid further spread of the coronavirus.

According to the statement, the UTS facility on the mobile app will also be provided on non-suburban sections of Zonal Railways. The facility is now available only in suburban categories. Due to the commencement and lockdown of the corona, the UTS facility on the mobile application was discontinued by Indian Railways. Recently, it was announced that Indian Railways will run Holi special trains to reduce the rush of passengers at the festival. According to the report, Northern Railway announced the addition of 18 pairs of new special trains to facilitate the passengers due to Holi.
