New Delhi: The journey from Agra, Palwal and Faridabad to Delhi is going to be expensive from midnight today. Vehicles going to Delhi via Badarpur flyover will have to pay an increased toll tax from the night of August 31. Monthly toll rates of NHAI are increasing from 13 to 39 rupees. It is going to be implemented from midnight of 31 August. The effect of which is going to affect about 50 thousand drivers passing through the toll daily.
NHAI Deputy General Manager Sachin Kumar said that NHAI revises the toll rate in August every year. Rules have been issued by the government in this regard. This time, only one rupee can be increased. For traveling from Agra to Delhi towards Badarpur flyover, car, vans and jeep drivers will have to pay 1 rupee more toll from midnight today. Cars, jeep vans and light motor vehicles will have to pay 26 for a single trip, 40 for multiple trips and Rs 793 for a monthly pass.
Similarly, light commercial vehicle, light goods vehicle and minibus will have to pay 40 for a single trip, 59 for multiple trips and Rs 1190 for a monthly pass. Truck, bus, multi-axle vehicles can be paid 79 for a single trip, 119 for multiple trips and Rs 2380 for a monthly pass. Prior to this, for light vehicles, single trip 26, multiple was 39 rupees. The pass for the month was Rs 780. The single trip for light commercial vehicles was 39. The monthly pass was 1170. The single trip 78 and multiple trips for heavy vehicles was Rs 117. The monthly pass was Rs 2341.
