If you are fond of gardening and have planted a lot of plants, that is a good thing, but if you are not taking care of them, something different will be going on in the garden. Plants withering due to lack of water or strong sunlight are also emitting ultrasonic sounds. It is a kind of scream that is similar to that of a wounded or distressed person. Medicine has also been studied in a study published on Thursday in the scientific journal 'Cell'.

Trees and plants are not silent. In a study titled 'Sound emitted by plants under stress', it has been said that even though all the plants are making different types of sounds, they are all making some kind of noise. By understanding these, it can be known in what condition the plant is growing, whether it is happy or upset. Although plants are still called silent, but now, after this study, a new tip has come out that is helping the plant kingdom.

The study went like this: For the study, tomato and tobacco plants were grown in a greenhouse. In which different plants got different treatments. Somebody got water, and they got good care too. Some plants were not watered, and their leaves were injured while pruning. The soil was also put into these plants after a thorough examination, during which it was ensured that there were no creatures in the soil that emit sound. AI's help was taken to capture the sound. Meanwhile, it was found that in different circumstances, plants emit different types of sounds, which are like chirping in happiness or screaming in pain. An average plant makes a call once an hour, while stressed plants make 13 to 40 screeching sounds.

Crying for help within two days: The paper printed in the cell claimed that plants that require daily watering start crying loudly if they are not watered for two days. These sounds are getting louder on the fifth day, which other nearby plants also hear and react to. Their leaves start bending towards that weak, dry tree. It's kind of comforting in a way. Just like humans give to each other.

Other creatures come forward to help: These screams of trees reach not only their fraternity but also other creatures, such as squirrels, bats, and rats. They try to make sure that the plants get some rest as well. Let's try for this too. Tel Aviv University biologist Lihech Hedeni, who was involved in the research, agreed that many species growing on plants are also trying to help them, whether it has an effect or not. How does this sound emerge, due to which even scientists are not clear? In a dehydrating plant, the water chambers may begin to break, producing air bubbles and the sound. This process is called cavitation. But there could be some other reason as well.

Why we can't hear sounds: Humans can hear sounds up to a maximum of 20 kHz. This frequency remains in this range during childhood but tends to decrease with age. Frequencies above 20 are classified as ultrasonic sounds. Plants that are victims of dehydration emit sounds between 40 and 80 kHz. This is too high a frequency for us to hear, which is why we cannot hear it.
