Kolkata: The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal has once again been accused of insulting the Constitution. Even before this, the TMC government of Bengal has disrespected constitutional values by stopping the CBI, sometimes boycotting the Prime Minister's meetings. Now Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's minister Akhil Giri has publicly mocked the country's highest post 'President' for her appearance. Actually, this is not only an insult to the person holding the highest constitutional post in India, but it is also a case of hurting the dignity of a woman.

According to the report, while addressing a crowd in Nandigram on the occasion of Martyrs' Day celebrations, Giri mocked 'Her Excellency' Draupadi Murmu. Now, this video of minister Akhil Giri is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Bengal's opposition party BJP has strongly condemned this statement of Mamata's minister. Targeting BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari at the event, TMC leader Giri also dragged President Draupadi Murmu into it. Though Giri did not take names in his remarks, he categorically called it 'President'. Mamata's minister said, 'He (Suvendu Adhikari) says that I am not beautiful. How beautiful is he? We don't judge people by their looks. We respect your presidency. How does your president look?'
At the same time, TMC says about this statement that in fact, the minister was saying that the party does not judge people by looking at their looks. On this, he gave the example of the President. At the same time, the BJP says that when he made this comment, Shashi Panja, minister of the women's welfare department of Mamata Banerjee's cabinet, was also present there. Sharing the video, the West Bengal BJP unit has targeted Mamata Banerjee and the TMC, calling the party anti-tribal.

The BJP has written in its tweet that, 'President, Draupadi Murmu comes from the tribal community. TMC Home Minister Akhil Giri made objectionable remarks about her in the presence of another minister of the women's welfare department Shashi Panja.' Let us inform you that earlier Bengal Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had insulted Draupadi Murmu by calling her 'national wife'. At the same time, Congress leader Udit Raj accused the President of 'flattery'. Both later apologized for their remarks.
