Kolkata: The murder of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker in South Dinajpur, West Bengal, has come to light. The Chairman of the Trinamool Panchayat Samiti suffered a heart attack when he was shot at by the TMC worker, who led to his death. According to the information received, the firing took place in a clash between TMC workers. It is not known at the moment what the activists clashed about.
According to the information received, Trinamool Congress (TMC) activist Sanjit Sarkar was shot dead in South Dinajpur. TMC Panchayat Samiti Chairman Kalipad Sarkar was also present at the time when the incident was being carried out. The government had a heart attack on the incident which led to the death of him. No information regarding the accused in the incident has been received at present.
Earlier on Monday, reports of a Trinamool worker's killing in Jalpaiguri district of Sob were reported. Four persons have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of a worker named Ranjit Adhikari. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) accused the BJP of being involved in the incident, while the BJP claims that the fight inside the ruling party is the reason behind it.
