Kolkata: In view of the Kaliaganj assembly by-election in West Bengal, the road show of CM Biplab Kumar Deb of Tripura was not received by the police administration on Saturday. Protested by blocking. Along with this, a decree was issued to stop the Chief Minister.

Leaders led by BJP Kaliaganj Municipal President Rana Pratap Ghosh accused the state government of taking away the authoritarian rights of the dictatorial and anti-party and shouted slogans against the government and police. BJP Uttar Dinajpur district secretary Vishwajit Lahiri said that an application was made to the administration regarding the roadshow of CM Viplav Dev, but permission was not given at the behest of Trinamool leadership.

He said that while applying for the program of Dev and Mimi of Trinamool later, permission was also granted. Therefore Kaliaganj will continue the agitation till the removal of IC and SDO. Trinamool Secretary Aseem Ghosh said that the administrative footsteps are taken as per the instructions of the Election Officer and the Election Commission is not under the state government. Therefore, if the BJP does not want to follow the rule of law, it is a disproportionate amount to be blamed on the state government.
