Triumph Motorcycles India announced the launch of the new Rocket 3 221 Special Edition in India on Tuesday, with a price of Rs. 20.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new bike is available in two trim levels: R and GT. The 'R' trim is priced at 20.80 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 'GT' standard model is priced at 21.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
On the outside, special '221' decals are applied to the motorcycle's gasoline tank, commemorating the huge 221Nm of torque produced by the motorcycle's engine. This is also the world's biggest peak torque produced by any production-spec bike right now. The bike is powered by a 2,500cc three-cylinder engine that produces 165bhp at 6,000 rpm and is mated to a six-speed transmission with a torque-assist hydraulic clutch.
The distinctive Red Hopper tank and front mudguard contrast nicely with the Sapphire Black mudguard brackets, headlight bowls, flyscreen, side panels, rear bodywork, and radiator cowls on the new Rocket 3 221 Special Edition edition.
The wheels are made of lightweight cast aluminium with an intricate 20-spoke design and are fitted with high-performance Avon Cobra Chrome tyres. These tyres, according to Triumph, were designed particularly for the Rocket 3 to provide great grip and long mileage endurance. The motorcycle's braking system consists of a Brembo M4.32 four-piston monobloc calliper and a 300mm disc.
The bike is equipped with full-colour TFTs that are angle-adjustable and have two programmable information arrangement themes, according to the manufacturer. My Triumph connectivity system software is included with the motorbike, and it may be utilised with the accessory-fit Bluetooth module.
